For extremely high levels of wear resistance
An x-ray view of the steel gives a clear idea of the differences: conventional steel wears out faster. The reason ist that the carbides, which ensure wear resistance, have a rough structure and are only spread irregularly within conventional scissors steel. By contrast, state-of-the-art MicroCarbide steel contains very fine and evenly spread carbides as well as a particularly high level of vanadium. Together the homogeneous structure and the vanadium ensure that MicroCarbide is not only very hard but also tough and therefore extremely wear resistant. |
